Preliminary Procedures
- Cover the generator in order to prevent power steering fluid from dripping on the generator.
- Place drain pans under the vehicle.
- Remove as much power steering fluid from the power steering fluid reservoir as possible.
- Remove the air cleaner assembly. Refer to Air Cleaner Assembly Replacement
.
- Raise and support the vehicle. Refer to Lifting and Jacking the Vehicle
.
- Remove the right front wheelhouse front liner. Refer to Front Wheelhouse Front Liner Replacement
.
- Disconnect the drive belt from the power steering pump pulley only. Refer to Drive Belt Replacement
.

Power Steering Fluid Reservoir Outlet Hose Procedure Disconnect the power steering fluid reservoir outlet hose from the power steering pump. |

Power Steering Gear Inlet Hose Fitting Bolt Procedure Install 2 NEW power steering gear inlet hose fitting seals. Tighten 50 N.m (37 lb ft) |

Power Steering Gear Inlet Hose Procedure Disconnect the power steering gear inlet hose from the power steering pump. |

Power Steering Pump Bolt (Qty: 3) Tighten 22 N.m (16 lb ft) |

Power Steering Pump Procedure
- Transfer the power steering pump pulley. Refer to Power Steering Pump Pulley Replacement .
- Fill and bleed the power steering system. Refer to Power Steering System Bleeding .
- Clean any excess power steering fluid from the vehicle.
- Remove the drain pans.
- Remove the cover from the generator.
