Removal Procedure

    Fig 1: Air Cleaner Outlet Duct, MAF Sensor Wiring Harness Plug & ECM Wiring Harness

  1. Disconnect the mass air flow sensor wiring harness plug (2).
  2. Unclip the engine control module (ECM) wiring harness (3) from the air cleaner housing.
  3. Remove the air cleaner outlet duct (1). Refer to Air Cleaner Outlet Duct Replacement .

  4. Remove the mass air flow sensor (3) from the air cleaner upper housing (2). Refer to Mass Airflow Sensor with Intake Air Temperature Sensor Replacement .
  5. Remove the 6 air cleaner housing cover bolts (1).
  6. Remove the air cleaner upper housing (2).
