Installation Procedure
- Lubricate the threads and sealing surface of the NEW fuel rail pressure sensor with one drop of clean engine oil.
- Fuel Rail Pressure Sensor. Install the NEW fuel rail pressure sensor hand tight.
- Fuel Rail Pressure Sensor. Remove and re-lubricate with one drop of clean engine oil.
- Fuel Rail Pressure Sensor. Install and tighten 33 N.m (24 lb ft)
- Electrical Connector Fuel Rail Pressure Sensor Connect
- Pressurize the fuel system and inspect for leaks.
- Fuel Injection Fuel Rail Noise Shield Replacement Install
- Intake Manifold Replacement Install
NOTE:
Applying force to the plastic housing of the sensor may damage the sensor. To tighten or loosen, apply force only to the attached hexagon.
NOTE:
Ensure the fuel rail threads are clean and free of any excess fuel, or the fuel rail pressure sensor will NOT seal properly.
NOTE:
Install a NEW fuel injection fuel rail fuel pressure sensor.
CAUTION:
Refer to Component Fastener Tightening Caution .
NOTE:
If a fuel leak occurs at the fuel rail, the fuel rail will need to be replaced.
