Installation Procedure

WARNING: This page is about a different car, the 2015 Buick Verano. However, it is still accessible from the selected car via links, so may be relevant.

  1. Connect the electrical connectors (1).
  2. Close secondary locking.
  3. Align the inflatable restraint module fasteners to the steering wheel spring fastener (3).
  4. WARNING:

    After installation of the steering wheel airbag module to the steering wheel, slightly pull the module outward. If there is no give on the airbag module then it is secured correctly. If the airbag module is not fully attached personal injury could result.

  5. Push the inflatable restraint module (2) firmly into the steering wheel in order to engage the spring fastener (3).
  6. Enable the SIR system. Refer to SIR Disabling and Enabling .
  7. Refer to Inflatable Restraint Module Handling and Scrapping .
