Installation Procedure

Fig 1: Three Way Catalytic Converter & Components

Loosen the 2 three way catalytic converter brace bracket bolts (2).
Install the three way catalytic converter (4) and a NEW gasket (5).
Install the 2 three way catalytic converter brace bracket bolts (2) and loosely tighten.

CAUTION:

Refer to Fastener Caution .

Install the 3 three way catalytic converter nuts (1) and tighten to 28 N.m (21 lb ft).
Tighten the 2 three way catalytic converter brace bracket bolts (2) to 58 N.m (43 lb ft).
Tighten the 2 three way catalytic converter nuts (3) to 28 N.m (21 lb ft).
Install the catalytic converter. Refer to Catalytic Converter Replacement .
Lower the vehicle.
Install the exhaust manifold heat shield. Refer to Exhaust Manifold Heat Shield Replacement .
