Removal Procedure

  1. Disconnect the negative battery cable. Battery Negative Cable Disconnection and Connection 
  2. Remove the engine control module bracket. Engine Control Module Bracket Replacement
  3. GM4733188

    Retainer (1) - Disengage

  4. Fuse Block Cover (2) - Open
  5. GM4729044

    Fuse Block Nut (1) @ Battery Fuse Block (3) - Remove [2x]

  6. Fuse Block Nut (2) @ Battery Fuse Block (3) - Remove [2x]
  7. GM4728733

    Battery Positive Cable (1) - Remove [2x]

  8. Battery Positive Cable (2) - Remove [2x]
  9. GM4733193

    Battery Positive Post Clamp Nut (1) - Loosen

  10. Retainer (2) - Disengage
  11. GM4733206

    Retaining Tab (1) - Disengage [2x]

  12. Fuse Block (2) - Reposition away
  13. GM4733223

    Battery Hold Down Retainer Bolt (2) - Remove

  14. Battery Hold Down Retainer (1) - Remove
  15. Battery Hold Down Bolt (3) - Remove
  16. Battery Hold Down Retainer (4) - Remove
  17. GM4733231

    Battery (1) - Remove
