Removal Procedure

WARNING:

Refer to Exhaust Service Warning

  1. Oil Pump Flow Control Valve Heat Shield - Remove - Refer to Oil Pump Flow Control Valve Heat Shield Replacement 
  2. GM4604769

    Disconnect the electrical connector. (4)

  3. Wiring Harness Clip (2) - Unclip
  4. Wiring Harness (3) - Position aside
  5. Oil Pump Flow Control Valve Bracket Fastener (1) - Remove
  6. Raise and support the vehicle - Refer to Lifting and Jacking the Vehicle
  7. GM4604770

    Oil Pump Flow Control Valve Bolt (1) - Remove

  8. Oil Pump Flow Control Valve (2) - Remove
