Control Panel Assembly

The panel is composed of a number of closely related parts controlled by the temperature dial and the mode selector lever. The temperature dial operates a rheostat whose resistance is varied by dial position. The sensor signal amplifier is mounted on the underside of the control panel baseplate and consists of contact pads which are contacted by wiper contacts attached to and positioned by the selector lever. The control vacuum valve, also positioned by action of the selector lever, is mounted on the underside of the control panel base and is an eight-port rotary vacuum valve.
