Components & Functions: Programmer

The plastic programmer case contains temperature control components and is mounted on the right hand end of the heater-A/C assembly. The circuit board is an amplifier and logic board which accepts electrical signals from the sensors and mode pushbuttons in the control head and provides output control signals. A reversible D.C. motor actuates a rotary shaft which drives the air-mix door link. Signals from the circuit board actuate the vacuum solenoids within the programmer which control the water valve, air door, mode door and defroster door.
