CADILLAC

On rear wheel drive models, the trim height is measured from the underside of the frame to the top of the axle tube. On Eldorado and Seville models, the trim height is measured from the control arm to the frame member, Fig. 34. On 1985 DeVille and Fleetwood, the trim height is measured from the lowest point on the ball joint housing to the centerline of the rear bolt bushing. On rear wheel drive models, the trim height should be 4 3/4-5 1/2 inches. On Eldorado and Seville models, trim height should measure 5 1/8-5 7/8 inches. On 1985 DeVille and Fleetwood models, trim height should measure 2 13/16-3 19/32 inches. For dimensions on 1986-87 Cadillacs see Figs. 35 and 36.
