Note On Intermittents
Check for loose or poor connection of the power circuit, ground circuit and the data circuits to the LSP. For LIGHTING SYSTEM CHECK , see SELF-DIAGNOSTICS article in ENGINE PERFORMANCE.
NOTE:
The following numbered steps refer to circled numbers on diagnostic chart. See Fig 1. For circuit identification, see Fig 2.
- If you were not directed here from Lighting Chart A-1, a wrong diagnosis could result if not performed first. For LIGHTING SYSTEM CHECK , see SELF-DIAGNOSTICS article in ENGINE PERFORMANCE.
- If code B441 is also set, then a loss of voltage on circuit No. 840 is the cause of the fault.
- Checks for voltage on circuit No. 840. Circuit No. 840 is the voltage supply circuit for the LSP.
- Checks the date line for proper connection to the LSP.

When all diagnosis and repairs are completed, clear codes and verify operation.
