Output Display Procedure

When trouble shooting a malfunction, ECM and BCM output cycling can be used to determine if output tests can be actuated regardless of inputs and normal program instructions. Once a test in outputs has been selected the test will display "HI" and "LO" for 3 seconds in each state to indicate the command and output terminal voltage.

To view the BCM output displays, enter diagnostics. See DIAGNOSTIC MODES . Depress the "LO" button on CCP to by-pass trouble codes. Display desired systems by depressing the "LO" button. When desired system is displayed, select desired system by depressing the "HI" button. Display desired test by depressing the "LO" button until "OUTPUT" appears. Select that test type by depressing the "HI" button.

The following are a list of the BCM output displays available.

  1. BO00 - NO OUTPUTS

This display will not display "HI" or "LO" as this is a resting spot where no outputs will be cycled.
  2. BO03 - RETAINED ACCESSORY POWER

This display is "LO" when the relays are on (energized).
  3. BO07 - PARK CONTROL

Will cycle the Park output to the memory seat. Reads "LO" in Park and "HI" in all other gears.
  4. BO09 - REDUNDANT RELAYS

Will cycle the redundant relays with the headlamp switch on. The relays are activated with the "HI" readings.
  5. BO10 - CHIME

Cycles the chime output to the chime module. The chimes will not be activated with the key on.
  6. BO11 - CENTRAL DOOR UNLOCK

Will cycle the unlock coil of the door lock relay.
