Body Control Module (BCM)

The BCM monitors and controls Climate Control Panel (CCP), rear defogger, outside temperature display, cooling fans control, "Fuel Data Center" display information, vacuum fluorescent display dimming, self-diagnostics and "Retained Accessory Power" system functions.

The BCM consists of input/output devices, CPU, power supply, RAM, ROM and PROM memories that coincide with those of the ECM. The BCM exchanges data (information) with the ECM to provide maximum reliability and improve serviceability of body related systems.
