The Body Computer Module (BCM) is the central processor for the vehicle functions. The Body Computer Module (BCM) communicates through Data Links with the Instrument Panel Cluster (IPC), Climate Control/Driver Information Center (CCDIC), Engine Control Module (ECM), Heater and A/C Programmer, the Output Switch Modules (OSM), and the Left Switch Pod.
The Assembly Line Diagnostic Link (ALDL) Connector monitors system parameters by means of the Data Link to verify proper system performance at the end of the vehicle assembly line.
