Notes On Intermittents

Check for loose or poor connection of the power circuit, ground circuit and the data circuits to the LSP. Perform lighting system check. See LIGHTING SYSTEM CHECK .

NOTE: When all diagnosis and repairs are completed, clear codes and verify operation.

NOTE: The following numbered steps refer to circled numbers on diagnostic chart. See Fig 1 . For circuit identification, see Fig 2 .

If you were not directed here from Lighting Chart A-1, then misdiagnosis could result. See LIGHTING CHART A-1: L - CODE DIAGNOSIS .
If code B411 is also set, then a loss of voltage on CKT 840 is the cause.
This checks for voltage on CKT 840, the supply for the LSP.
This checks the data line for proper connection to the LSP.
