Chart B-5, Vacuum Fluorescent Power Supply Problem

You are at this chart because odometer, with key on, read all 8's or was blank, but the high beams cycled when dimmer switch was activated. These symptoms indicate a problem with vacuum fluorescent power supply, located in the IPC, display components or related wiring.

NOTE: Test numbers refer to test numbers on diagnostic chart.
  1. This determines if fault is due to a bad CCDIC component.
  2. This determines if fault is due to a bad radio component.
  3. This checks ground integrity to Instrument Panel Cluster (IPC).
  4. This determines if fault is due to a bad IPC or a short to ground in one of vacuum fluorescent power wires to CCDIC or radio.
