System Check

NOTE: Ensure fuse No. 5 in relay center is okay before performing system check.
  1. With engine idling and vehicle not moving, turn steering wheel to right and left. DO NOT wait for more than 2 minutes before turning steering wheel, as test results will not be accurate. If wheel turns with minimal effort, go to next step. If wheel does not turn with minimal effort, go to DIFFICULT STEERING AT SPEEDS LESS THAN 20 MPH  .
  2. Wait 3 minutes with engine idling and vehicle not moving. Turn steering wheel to right and left. If wheel turns with greater effort than in previous step, system is okay. If wheel does not turn with greater effort than in previous step, go to UNWANTED ASSIST AT SPEEDS GREATER THAN 20 MPH  .
