Test Description

- Under normal conditions, the DERM will cycle the telltale between 7 and 9 times at key ON. If this does not happen, a power, ground, or internal DERM failure is indicated.
- If multiple codes are present, a data line fault is indicated and should be diagnosed using the preceding multiple communication code chart.
- A normal data line will fluctuate voltage as data signals are sent. If the voltage does not fluctuate at the DERM connector A8, an open in CKT 800 between the DERM, IPC and PCM is indicated.
