You should know how to use a test light and how to use jumper wires to bypass components to test circuits. You should be familiar with the High Impedance Multimeter (DVOM, Digital Volt/Ohm Meter), particularly essential tool J 29125-A, J 34029A, or equivalent. You should be able to measure voltage, resistance, and current. You should be familiar with the controls of the meter and how to use it correctly.
