DTC P093: Traction Control System PWM Link Failure: Action

  1. "TRACTION DISABLED" message displayed on the DIC.
  2. "CHECK INFO CENTER" telltale turns on.
  3. PCM disables first gear starts.
  4. Transaxle shift adapts are maintained at current levels.
NOTE: Numbers in list refer to circled numbers in diagnostic flow chart, see Fig 1. For circuit identification see Fig 2.
  1. Checking for a traction control communication code also set because that determines if it is just a PCM problem or not.
  2. Checking for proper output voltage from PCM.
  3. Checking CKT 1714 for an open.
  4. Checking CKT 1714 for a short to ground.
  5. Checking CKT 1714 for a short to voltage.
  6. Checking for intermittent traction control problem. If not, trouble is in PCM or EBTCM.
