Coolant Temperature Sensor/Switch (For Computer): Service and Repair

Important
^ Care must be taken when handling the ECT sensor. Damage to the ECT sensor will affect proper operation of the fuel injection system.

^ A non-hardening sealer should be applied to the sensor threads prior to installation to prevent coolant leaks. Use P/N 1050805 or equivalent.

Remove or Disconnect
1. Partially drain cooling system.

2. ECT sensor connector.

3. ECT sensor at engine.

Install or Connect
1. ECT sensor at engine.

Tighten
^ Torque ECT sensor to 20 Nm (15 lbs. ft.).

2. ECT sensor connector.

3. Refill coolant system.
