Throttle Position Sensor (TPS) Replacement


Throttle Body Assembly - Exploded View:






REMOVAL:

1. Remove the air cleaner.
2. Disconnect the electrical connector.
3. Remove the two Throttle Position (TP) Sensor attaching screws and retainers.
4. Remove the Throttle Position Sensor.

INSTALLATION:

1. With the throttle valve in the normally closed position, install the Throttle Position (TP) Sensor on the throttle body assembly. Be sure the throttle shaft flats engage the TP sensor drive tongs.
2. Install the two TP sensor attaching screws with retainers. DO NOT tighten screws until TP sensor is adjusted.
3. Connect the electrical connector.
4. Adjust the TP sensor, refer to ADJUSTMENT PROCEDURES.
