Pcm Code E22 - Open Throttle Position Sensor Circuit: Action
PCM turns on SERVICE SOON light. PCM disables VCC. PCM uses 13 degrees for TP sensor value with ISC throttle switch open and 6 degrees for TP sensor value when ISC throttle switch closes.
NOTE:
Test numbers refer to numbers on diagnostic chart.
- Checks for shorted TP sensor or shorted wiring. If data value stays greater than -7 with TP sensor disconnected, problem is in wiring.
- Checks circuit No. 474 for an open between TP sensor and PCM. An open in circuit No. 474 will result in high TP sensor values whenever TP sensor is plugged in.
