Code P024, Vehicle Speed Sensor (VSS) Circuit Problem: Action
PCM turns on MIL and disables Torque Converter Clutch (TCC) and cruise control for the entire ignition cycle. PCM disables 3rd and 4th gears.
NOTE:
Test number refers to number on diagnostic chart.
- VSS provides a 0-35 volt AC signal to PCM depending on vehicle speed. With wheels turning, signal to PCM should be greater than .5 volt AC.
