Rear Compartment Lid Release Inoperative

  1. Turn ignition on. Put transmission selector in Park. Backprobe test light between Remote Control Door Lock Receiver/Theft Deterrent Module (RCDLR/TDM) connector terminal C16 (Light Green wire) and ground.
  2. If test light does not light, check for poor connection at transmission position switch or open circuit in Light Green wire. If connection and wire are okay, replace switch.
  3. If test light lights, check for poor connection at RCDLR/TDM connector terminals C16 (Light Green wire) or C1 (Black/White wire). If connections are okay, program a known good transmitter. If function is still inoperative, replace RCDLR/TDM.
