Code P071, Intermittent Map Sensor: Notes

This test monitors TP sensor, RPM, MAP, EGR flow and A/C clutch status. Engine operation requires a large change in manifold pressure must be preceded by a change in engine load due to changes in throttle angle. If MAP changes rapidly and all other parameters remain constant, Code P071 will set.
