DTC PZ2473, High Beam Output Fault: Testing
- Turn ignition switch to ON position. Turn headlight switch on. Connect scan tool and select BCM TEST. Select LIGHTS, then select HIGH BEAM. Using scan tool, turn high beams on, then off. If high beams do not illuminate, go to step 3). If high beams illuminate, go to next step.
- Turn ignition switch to OFF position. Turn headlight switch off. Disconnect PZM connector. Using DVOM, measure resistance between PZM connector terminal C8 and ground. If resistance is 5 ohms or less, repair short to ground in high beam circuit between LO/HI beam control relay and PZM. If resistance is greater than 5 ohms, replace PZM.
- Turn ignition switch to OFF position. Turn headlight switch off. Remove LO/HI beam control relay. Disconnect PZM connector. Using DVOM, measure resistance between LO/HI beam control relay connector terminal No. 86 and PZM connector terminal C8. If resistance is greater than 5 ohms, repair open in high beam circuit between LO/HI beam control relay and PZM. If resistance is 5 ohms or less, replace PZM.
