Courtesy Lights Do Not Turn On When Unlock Function/Lights On Function Is Requested; Unlock Function Operates Normally
- Turn ignition off. Disconnect Remote Control Door Lock Receiver/Theft Deterrent Module (RCDLR/TDM) connector. Connect voltmeter between connector terminal C14 (Brown wire) and ground. If voltage is greater than zero volts, repair short to voltage in Brown wire.
- If no voltage is present, connect fused jumper wire between RCDLR/TDM connector terminal C7 (Gray wire) and ground. If courtesy lights come on, check for poor connection at RCDLR/TDM. If connection is okay, replace RCDLR/TDM. If courtesy lights remain off, repair open circuit in Gray wire between RCDLR/TDM connector terminal C7 and splice.
