DTC 36, DRL Enable Circuit (Circuit Shorted To Battery): Notes
Daytime Running Lights (DRL) are available on Canadian vehicles only. CCM will ground DRL enable circuit when a request for DRL to be turned on is received.
For DRL equipped vehicles, DTC 36 will set if CCM is awake, DRL output is enabled and DRL enable circuit stays near battery voltage for more than 2 seconds. For non-DRL equipped vehicles, DTC 36 will set if CCM is awake and DRL enable circuit stays high for more than 2 seconds.
When DTC 36 is set and DRL enable circuit is shorted to battery, DRL functions will not operate as intended. DTC 36 will clear if fault goes away for 2 or more seconds.
