DTC 24, Courtesy Output Circuit (Circuit Shorted To Battery): Notes

Courtesy lights output circuit is used to complete electrical circuit for courtesy light system. When CCM receives a request to activate roof rail and door courtesy lights, CCM will ground courtesy lights output circuit.

DTC 24 will set when courtesy lights output circuit is in a high state for more than 2 seconds while CCM is attempting to ground circuit. When ignition is first turned to RUN position, CCM tests for a short to battery in courtesy lights output circuit.

When DTC 24 is set and courtesy lights output circuit is shorted to battery, courtesy lights will not illuminate as intended. DTC 24 will clear if fault goes away for 2 or more seconds.
