DTC 30, Pass Key Fault Indicator Circuit (Circuit Shorted To Battery): Notes

PASS KEY FAULT enable circuit turns the PASS KEY FAULT indicator on or off. Circuit is monitored by CCM for faults. PASS KEY FAULT indicator provides means to alert driver or technician of PASS-Key II(R) system faults.

DTC 30 will set when PASS KEY FAULT indicator is being enabled to come on. This occurs during first 5 seconds of ignition cycle (IGN 1 on), or when a PASS-Key II(R) fault or PASS-Key II(R) fault lockout has been detected that lasts longer than 2 seconds.

When DTC 30 is set, vehicle can start. DTC 30 will clear if fault goes away for 2 or more seconds.
