April 5, 2026: LEMON Manuals is launched! Read the announcement.

Testing (DRL Equipped)

  1. Ensure DRL enable circuit is properly grounded. Turn ignition switch to OFF position. Remove DRL relay. Disconnect CCM connector C1. Turn ignition switch to RUN position. Using DVOM, measure voltage between DRL relay connector terminal A1 and ground. If voltage is present, repair short to battery in DRL enable circuit. If voltage is not present, go to next step.
  2. Turn ignition switch to OFF position. Using DVOM, check for continuity between DRL relay terminals A1 and C1. If continuity is present, replace relay. If continuity is not present, go to next step.
  3. Using DVOM, measure resistance between DRL relay terminals A1 and C2. Resistance should be 70-150 ohms. If resistance is not as specified, replace relay. If resistance is as specified, no problem is found. Problem may be intermittent. Go to next step.
  4. Turn ignition switch to OFF position. Check for poor connections at CCM connector. If connections are okay, reconnect CCM connector and all other components. Clear DTCs and check if DTC resets. If DTC resets, replace CCM. If DTC does not reset, problem may be intermittent. Try to recreate fault while performing test by wiggling wiring and connectors. Check for poor connections at all connectors that may be causing intermittent condition.
