Body Control Module: Application and ID

During the engineering development of the Body Control Module it was designated as the Platform Zone Module (PZM). The PZM terminology is still used in several areas of the vehicle, eg. fuse block and On-Board Diagnostics. The "Functional Name Address" (FNA) includes (PZM), the FNA is the name used by Service Parts Operations to issue parts. Therefore, in order to minimize confusion while ordering parts, usage of the terminology "PZM" has been retained.
