DTC U1170: Loss Of Left Front Power Window Switch Assembly Simple Bus Serial Data: Testing
- Perform door control system check. See DOOR CONTROL SYSTEM CHECK under TROUBLE SHOOTING. After performing system check, go to next step.
- If DTC U1161 is also set, go to DTC U1161. If DTC U1161 is not set, go to next step.
- Disconnect Left Front Power Window Switch (LFPWS) assembly connector. Using DVOM, measure voltage between LFPWS assembly connector terminal No. 9 (Orange wire) and ground. If 10-15 volts exists, go to step 5). If 10-15 volts does not exists, go to next step.
- Repair open or short to ground in circuit No. 640 (Orange wire) between LFDM and LFPWS assembly. Recheck system operation.
- Using DVOM, measure resistance between LFPWS assembly connector terminal No. 8 (Black/White wire) and ground. If resistance is infinite, go to next step. If resistance is not infinite, go to step 7).
- Repair open in circuit No. 351 (Black/White wire) between LFDM and LFPWS assembly. Recheck system operation.
- Using DVOM, measure resistance of Tan/White wire between LFDM connector C1 terminal No. 15 and LFPWS assembly connector terminal No. 10. If resistance is 0-2 ohms, go to step 9). If resistance is not 0-2 ohms, go to next step.
- Repair open or high resistance in circuit No. 2076 (Tan/White wire) between LFDM and LFPWS assembly. Recheck system operation.
- Replace LFPWS assembly. Recheck system operation.
