DTC B1552: Loss Of BCM Keep Alive Memory (KAM): Notes

DTC B1552 indicates keep alive memory or long term memory has been reset. Keep alive memory or long term memory will reset when power or ground is removed from BCM. This is a normal occurrence when battery is disconnected and reconnected.

When DTC B1552 is set, BCM memory is reset to initial default values. DTC B1552 will clear when conditions for fault no longer exist or when scan tool is used. A history DTC will clear after 50 consecutive ignition cycles if conditions for fault no longer exist.
