Diagnostic Procedure
- Turn ignition off. Disconnect front height position sensor connector. Using DVOM, check voltage between front height position sensor harness connector terminal "B" (Gray wire) and ground. If about zero volts exists, go to step 5). If about zero volts does not exist, go to next step.
- If about 12 volts exists, go to step 6). If about 12 volts does not exist, go to next step.
- Disconnect MSM Natural, 26-pin connector C1. Using DVOM, check resistance between MSM harness connector C1, terminal No. 13 (Gray wire) and ground. See Figure . If 5 ohms exists, go to next step. If 5 ohms does not exist, go to step 7).
- Replace MSM. Go to step 8).
- Repair short to ground in circuit No. 788 (Gray wire) between position sensor and MSM. See WIRING DIAGRAMS . Go to step 8).
- Repair short to voltage in circuit No. 788 (Gray wire) between position sensor and MSM. See WIRING DIAGRAMS . Go to step 8).
- Repair open in circuit No. 788 (Gray wire) between MSM and splice S348. See WIRING DIAGRAMS . Go to next step.
- Clear DTCs. Reconnect all disconnected connectors. Recheck system operation.
