Diagnostic Procedures

  1. Perform POWERTRAIN ON-BOARD DIAGNOSTIC (OBD) SYSTEM CHECK , then go to next step.
  2. Turn ignition on. Using scan tool, view TP sensor display. If TP sensor reading is greater than 0.1 volt, go to next step. If TP sensor reading is not greater than 0.1 volt, diagnose using DTC P0122 test.
  3. Check TP sensor display while slowly depressing accelerator from closed to wide-open throttle. Check TP sensor display for a stuck condition. If a stuck condition is observed, go to next step. If a stuck condition is not observed, diagnose using P0106 test.
  4. Replace TP sensor and verify repairs.
