DTC B2130: Seat Motor Failure: Description

WARNING: This page is about a different car, the 1998 Cadillac DeVille. However, it is still accessible from the selected car via links, so may be relevant.

Memory Seat Module (MSM) supplies voltage to seat and lumbar motors when it receives input from manual switch or recall function. DTC will not set if DTC B1982 or B1983 is current. DTC B2130 will set when only one motor is being driven and motor's current draw is greater than 45 amps. When DTC is set, all seat movement is stopped. DTC B2130 will clear when MSM does not detect seat motor failure during last monitoring cycle.
