A45 With AC9

  1. Operate rear of left seat switch in UP and DOWN directions. Rear of left seat should move up and down. If seat does not operate as specified, go to POWER SEAT DOES NOT TILT REARWARD (A45 WITH AC9)  under SYSTEM TESTS.
  2. Operate front of left seat switch in UP and DOWN directions. Front of left seat should move up and down. If seat does not operate as specified, go to POWER SEAT DOES NOT TILT FORWARD (A45 WITH AC9)  under SYSTEM TESTS.
  3. Operate left entire seat in FORWARD and BACK directions. Entire seat should move forward and back. If seat does not operate as specified, go to POWER SEAT DOES NOT MOVE FORWARD/REARWARD (A45 WITH AC9)  under SYSTEM TESTS.
  4. Operate left recline seat back switch in FORWARD and BACK directions. Left seat back should move forward and back. If seat does not operate as specified, go to POWER SEAT DOES NOT RECLINE (A45 WITH AC9)  under SYSTEM TESTS.
  5. Operate left seat headrest switch in UP and DOWN direction. Left seat head rest should move up and down. If headrest does not operate as specified, go to POWER SEAT HEADREST DOES NOT MOVE UP OR DOWN (A45 WITH AC9)  or POWER SEAT INOPERATIVE (A45 WITH AC9)  under SYSTEM TESTS.
  6. Press No. 1 button on memory function switch. A single chime should sound. Left seat, headrest, lumbar support, steering wheel and both outside mirrors should move to positions programmed for driver No. 1. If seat functions, steering wheel and mirrors do not operate as specified, go to POWER SEATS MEMORY SWITCH INOPERATIVE  under SYSTEM TESTS.
  7. Press No. 2 button on memory function switch. A single chime should sound. Left seat, headrest, lumbar support, steering wheel and both outside mirrors should move to positions programmed for driver No. 2. If seat functions, steering wheel and mirrors do not operate as specified, go to POWER SEATS MEMORY SWITCH INOPERATIVE  under SYSTEM TESTS.
  8. Press EXIT button on memory function switch. Single chime should sound. Left seat and steering wheel moves to exit position programmed for last driver to perform a memory recall or record function. If seat functions, steering wheel and mirrors do not operate as specified, go to POWER SEATS MEMORY SWITCH INOPERATIVE  under SYSTEM TESTS.
  9. Move left seat, steering wheel and headrest to desired position. Adjust lumbar support to provide desired support. Adjust both mirrors as desired. Left seat, steering wheel, and both mirrors should move as commanded. Press MEMORY SET button followed by No. 1 button within 5 seconds on memory function switch. Single chime should be heard. Current positions for left seat headrest, lumbar support, steering wheel and both mirrors should store in memory.

    Adjust seat positions, mirror positions and steering wheel position different than positions programmed for appropriate driver. Press No. 1 button on memory function switch. A single chime should be heard. Left seat, headrest, lumbar support, steering wheel and both mirrors move to positions programmed for driver No. 1. If seat functions, steering wheel and mirrors do not operate as specified, go to POWER SEAT INOPERATIVE (A45 WITH AC9)  or POWER SEATS MEMORY SWITCH INOPERATIVE  under SYSTEM TESTS.

  10. Apply parking brake. Move gear selector lever out of Park position. Press No. 1 button on memory function switch. Left seat and headrest, lumbar support, and both mirrors should not move. If memory functions do not operate as specified, see appropriate wiring diagram in SHIFT INTERLOCK SYSTEMS article in WIRING DIAGRAMS.
  11. Move gear selector lever to Park position. Press UNLOCK button on driver-1 RKE transmitter. Press unlock button on driver-2 RKE transmitter. Left seat and headrest, lumbar support, and both mirrors should perform one of 3 personalized options.
