Diagnostic Procedures

  1. Perform BCM diagnostic system check. See BCM DIAGNOSTIC SYSTEM CHECK  . After performing system check, go to next step.
  2. Check if DTC B0532 is also set as a current code. If DTC B0532 is current, go to DTC B0532 for diagnosis. If DTC B0532 is not current, go to next step.
  3. Check if DTC B0533 is also set as a current code. If DTC B0533 is current, go to DTC B0533 for diagnosis. If DTC B0533 is not current, go to next step.
  4. Clear DTCs. After clearing DTCs, turn ignition off. Start engine. Drive vehicle about 50 miles. Recheck DTCs. If DTC B0530 resets, go to next step. If DTC B0530 does not reset, system is okay.
  5. Turn ignition off. Replace fuel level sensor. After replacing sensor, go to next step.
  6. Reconnect all components or connectors. Clear DTCs. After clearing DTCs, perform BCM diagnostic system check. See BCM DIAGNOSTIC SYSTEM CHECK  .
