Diagnostic Procedures

  1. Perform BCM diagnostic system check. See BCM DIAGNOSTIC SYSTEM CHECK  . After performing system check, go to next step.
  2. Turn ignition off. Disconnect A/C low side temperature sensor. Turn ignition on. Check voltage between sensor harness connector terminals "A" and "B". See WIRING DIAGRAMS  . If voltage reading is 5 volts, go to step 4). If voltage reading is not 5 volts, go to next step.
  3. Check voltage between DIM harness connector terminals A6 (Black wire) and A7 (Gray wire). If voltage reading is 5 volts, go to step 6). If voltage reading is not 5 volts, go to step 5).
  4. Replace A/C low side temperature sensor. After replacing sensor, go to step 8).
  5. Replace DIM. After replacing DIM, go to step 8).
  6. Repair open in Gray wire. After repairs, go to next step.
  7. Check for short or open in Black wire. Repair as necessary. After repairs, go to next step.
  8. Clear DTC using scan tool. Confirm proper system operation.
