NOTE: The following procedure is written for use with a Tech 2 scan tool.
  1. When memory module or any actuator using potentiometer is replaced, memory module needs to be programmed. To program memory module, connect scan tool to Data Link Connector (DLC), located near left side of steering column. Check for DTCs. See RETRIEVING DIAGNOSTIC TROUBLE CODES (DTCS)  under SELF-DIAGNOSTIC SYSTEM. If any seat DTCs exist, perform appropriate test under DIAGNOSTIC TESTS and repair as necessary. Clear codes. See CLEARING DIAGNOSTIC TROUBLE CODES (DTCS)  under SELF-DIAGNOSTIC SYSTEM.
  2. Initialize system programming and follow instructions on scan tool. Open driver's door. Turn ignition on. Do not press any manual adjustment switch for seat or outside mirrors. Do not press any memory switches.
  3. When scan tool displays PRESS MEMORY KEY & HOLD, press and hold memory key until scan tool displays RELEASE ALL KEYS. If memory key is released before RELEASE ALL KEYS is displayed, programming will continue when memory key is pressed.
