Memory System: Description

The memory seat and mirror system allows the driver's seat to be set in 4 preset positions: MEMORY 1, MEMORY 2, EXIT 1 and EXIT 2. The Memory Seat Module (MSM) controls movement of 3 seat position motors, 2 lumbar support motors and one recline motor. The Memory Mirror Module (MMM) controls movement of 2 left mirror motors and 2 right mirror motors. All motors have a position sensor, and work independently of each other. On DeVille, MMM receives manual seat operation inputs from left seat switch. MMM then sends a message over the class 2 serial data line to MSM. MSM then supplies voltage to appropriate seat motors. On Eldorado, MSM receives manual seat operation inputs directly from the left seat switch. MSM then supplies voltage to appropriate seat motors.
