Right Mirror Does Not Move Up & Down

NOTE: This procedure applies to vehicles equipped with memory systems only.
  1. If outside mirrors system check was performed, go to next step. If outside mirrors system check was not performed, go to OUTSIDE MIRROR SYSTEM CHECK  under TROUBLE SHOOTING.
  2. Check for open in Purple/White wire between right outside mirror connector C1 terminal "C" and Memory Mirror Module (MMM) connector C1 terminal E12. See WIRING DIAGRAMS  . See Figure . If faulty circuit is found, go to next step. If circuit is okay, go to step  4 .
  3. Repair open in Purple/White wire between Memory Mirror Module (MMM) and right outside mirror. After repairs, go to OUTSIDE MIRROR SYSTEM CHECK  under TROUBLE SHOOTING.
  4. Check for open in Brown/White wire between right outside mirror connector C1 terminal "D" and MMM connector C1 terminal E10. If faulty circuit is found, go to next step. If circuit is okay, go to step  6 .
  5. Repair open in Brown/White wire between MMM and outside mirror switch. After repairs, go to OUTSIDE MIRROR SYSTEM CHECK  under TROUBLE SHOOTING.
  6. Right outside mirror or MMM are at fault. Replace MMM and/or right outside mirror. For MMM, see MEMORY MIRROR MODULE (MMM)  under REMOVAL & INSTALLATION. For left outside mirror, see POWER MIRRORS - DEVILLE & ELDORADO article.
