Outside Mirror System Check
NOTE:
Perform this check before diagnosing symptoms. If system does not operate as specified in test step, proceed to appropriate diagnosis and testing procedure under SYSTEM TESTS
unless specified otherwise.
- Place mirror select switch in LEFT position. Operate mirror in all directions. Left outside mirror should move as commanded.
- Place mirror select switch in RIGHT position. Operate mirror in all directions. Right outside mirror should move as commanded.
- Press MEMORY 1 button. Single beep should be heard and both mirrors should move to programmed position for position No. 1.
- Press MEMORY 2 button. Single beep should be heard and both mirrors should move to programmed position for position No. 2.
- Press EXIT button. Left seat should move to programmed position for EXIT for last programmed driver.
- Turn ignition on. Place shift lever into Reverse position. Right outside mirror should tilt down approximately 7 degrees or to end of travel.
