DTC B1556: BCM EPROM Write Error: Testing

  1. Perform BODY CONTROL MODULE DIAGNOSTIC SYSTEM CHECK  under SYSTEM TESTS. Go to next step.
  2. Turn ignition on. Clear DTCs with scan tool. Turn ignition off and back on. If DTC resets, go to next step. If DTC does not reset, go to BODY CONTROL MODULE DIAGNOSTIC SYSTEM CHECK  under SYSTEM TESTS.
  3. Replace PZM. See PLATFORM ZONE MODULE (PZM)  under REMOVAL & INSTALLATION. After repairs, go to next step.
  4. Turn ignition off. Reconnect all disconnected components and connectors. Turn ignition on and use scan tool to clear DTCs. Go to BODY CONTROL MODULE DIAGNOSTIC SYSTEM CHECK  under SYSTEM TESTS.
