EVAP Tank Vacuum Decay Slope

The display shows vacuum decay from 0 to 2 in inches of H2O per second. The vacuum decay slope is used during the PCM's diagnosis of the EVAP system. The PCM will create and hold a vacuum in the EVAP system. The rate at which this stored vacuum is released (the decay slope) determines if a leak is present in the EVAP system.
