Service Spark Retard

Display shows degrees from 0 to 4. This displays the amount of spark retard in degrees from the base spark timing of 10 degrees before top dead center. Service Spark Retard is used to compensate for poor fuel quality or low octane fuel. It can only be adjusted with a scan tool. If the battery is disconnected the service spark retard setting will reset to zero.
