DTC B1760: Cd Changer Not Responding: Testing

  1. Perform radio/audio system diagnostic system check. See RADIO/AUDIO SYSTEM DIAGNOSTIC SYSTEM CHECK  under SELF-DIAGNOSTIC SYSTEM. After performing diagnostic system check, go to next step.
  2. Turn ignition off. Remove radio and disconnect electrical harness connector. Test E & C data line (Yellow wire) between radio harness connector terminal E1 and CD changer terminal No. 7 (terminal No. 10 on Bose(R) CD changer) for an open. If fault is located and repaired, go to next step. If fault is not located and repaired, go to step  4 .
  3. Reconnect all disconnected electrical connectors and components. Verify that radio and CD changer operate properly. If radio and CD changer operate and communicate properly, repair is complete. System is okay.
  4. Replace CD changer. After replacement, go to step  3 .
