Diagnostic Aids

DTC U2105 is confined to a malfunction with module that the DTC was set in, or the module(s) that is connected to the module that the code was set in. A physical malfunction of the harness is not the cause of DTC U2105. DTC U2100 is set to denote a malfunction with the CAN bus harness.

Scan tool can be used as an aid in diagnosing this DTC. Observe the following data parameters, by module, that are transmitted over the CAN bus:

1. Engine Data Display (ECM)
   
   MIL Request.
2. Transmission Data Display (TCM)
   
   Brake Switch, Engine Coolant Temperature, Engine Speed, Engine Torque, and Throttle Position Angle.
3. ABS Data Display (EBTCM)
   
   Engine Speed and Delivered Engine Torque.

Observing data display parameters for abnormalities or missing data may pinpoint which module(s) is causing the malfunction.
